Coffee Outdoors is an independently owned outdoors store based in Pōneke, Wellington. Offering a refreshing experience that's approachable and doesn't take itself too seriously.

You will find a carefully curated selection of outdoor equipment and apparel sourced from mostly independent, and always high quality brands. We stock products that we believe are the perfect balance of functionality, impact, value, and style.

In the store you’ll find Shev, Tom, Molly & Alex who will be ready to host you in the space and make you feel right at home. We’re a small, young team of people who love being outside with a shared background in tramping, trail running, fast-packing, bike-packing & hike-a-bike adventures.

We exist to inspire recreation outdoors by finding adventure in everyday life. We have a wonderful community in Wellington of people really making the most of our beautiful city. If you are keen to get involved, ask us about our weekly ocean dips or monthly trail runs.

Who owns Coffee Outdoors?

We're Shev and Tom, we opened Coffee Outdoors in 2022. We wanted to build a shop and community that we felt was missing in Wellington & New Zealand. We had just had a summer packed full of tramping and we were bush blissed. We realised that none of the gear that we use and love was available in New Zealand and that there was a gap - so we decided to fill it.
