The Leki Khumbu Lite AS Poles are the same light aluminium workhorse as the Khumbu Lite, with anti-shock added. Built from the same high strength HTS 6.5 aluminium, they're a hassle free trekking pole that is a lot less likely to snap in the backcountry, with an adjustable telescopic style that suits trekking pole style shelters, be that tents or tarps. The AS stands for antishock: a Dynamic Suspension System (DSS) that soaks up impact by up to 40%, easing the load on your muscles, joints and ligaments so you feel fresher over the long descents and consecutive days on the trail.

If you don't need the anti-shock, the standard Khumbu Lite saves you a few grams and a bit of money.
