Fine tune the carry with the shoulder straps and load lifters and get at your gear fast through the water repellent zippered main compartment. The THREE is built for multi-day and even winter hikes, with plenty of ways to attach extra gear. Use the front bungee cord, side straps and bottom attachment loops to fix a sleeping mat, snowshoes, an ice axe or trekking poles. This is the Zip, with the same waterproof zip pocket as the MINI, a touch smaller in volume but the driest of the three, which makes it the pick for snow trips and ski touring as well as summer hikes. It's built from X-Pac UX10, the lightest laminate X-Pac makes, fully hydrophobic and tough at under half the weight of standard pack cloth, though like all ultralight UHMWPE laminates the backing rewards a little care over the years.
